2/20/23:
I don't recall suits and ties showing up much in Star Trek. (Though maybe Kirk's lawyer had one in TOS when he was court martialed?) They also did show up in Enterprise. Still... I feel like some fashions should stick around. The attempts to guess at future clothing in Sci-Fi usually meet with more laughs than anything else.

BrickVoid: I'm going to agree with you for now, although the addition of aliens who are neither human nor Vulcan does make me have to look twice a lot of the time. :D

Swiftbow: You're probably thinking of the first installment of this episode, where the Vulcans were left to run the ship during the banquet? But you don't need all that many people to run command crew during repair ops. The four you've seen (plus likely a few random crewmembers in the background) are all that are intended. The ship has a fair number of aliens, but the majority are human, like most Starfleet vessels.

BrickVoid: T'Zel, Ulbek, Natashia, and Jurak are the ones I've seen with speaking parts. I could have sworn I've seen another Vulcan on this ship. I thought that I had read somewhere that one of the crewmembers said there were a lot of Vulcans on this ship.
02/24/23 01:31 PM
Swiftbow: How many Vulcans do you think are on the ship, BrickVoid? We've shown four.

BrickVoid: Bridget seems to be one of the few non Vulcan crewmembers aboard, so it seems natural that Talbot would latch onto her and start chatting her up! He seems to be trying to keep it to the business at hand, although he also seems to be trying to put some moves on her, too! I wonder if she's going to teach him a painful lesson or two? :D

Transcript
Panel 1:
Grayson Talbot: And so... this is the Intrepid! Quite the... colorful ship.
She definitely stands out from the rest of the fleet.
Andre Peters: Well, she's mostly made from salvage. Even the paint.

Panel 2:
Talbot: No offense intended, my good man! I hear she's already made a name for herself.
Fighting off Tajarans... saving innocent peoples... rescuing Starfleet personnel...
Andre: Well... yes. Thank you.
Yeoman Bridget Janson: Andre is our chief engineer! He built this ship almost by himself.
Andre: That's kind of an exaggeration...
Talbot: My word! Then even more commendations, sir. We shall have to talk more later on.

Panel 3:
Bridget: What did you mean by "rescuing Starfleet personnel?"
Talbot: The Shadowburn crew, of course. I understood they're still aboard?
Bridget: Yes, I just thought that that information had been classified.
Talbot: I work in high circles. It's critical to my job. I could hardly negotiate this situation if I wasn't familiar with the stolen cloaking device wrinkle.

Panel 4:
Talbot: Don't worry! Starfleet wouldn't trust me with high clearance if I had loose... *ahem* lips.
Bridget: No, I suppose not.
Talbot; You know... I'm hardly tired. What say we forget my quarters for now?
We could... get to work instead. You handle all the Commodore's paperwork, I imagine.
It would be useful for me to take a look at the relevant info.
We could meet in your ship's lounge, perhaps?

Panel 5:
Bridget: That argument is... persuading.
That's what you're good at, right?
Talbot: Well, let's go find out!
    And save those Spoogians!
