2/9/26:
Jeena's been a semi-recurring background character, mostly. (Though I think she's had a few lines). Which was good, because I couldn't find Hawkins mini-figure. Er, I mean... he was injured in a plasma explosion. He's totally in sickbay and not lost somewhere in the vicinity of the Lego table.

Speaking of minor blunders, I was going back to fix that mistake BrickVoid noticed in last week's next button and discovered that I'd also accidentally blanked the comment text for every installment going back to November. Oops. Anyway... that's all fixed now, too!

Comments from the Tagboard:

BrickVoid: The Intrepid's engine room and associated sections attached to it seem to be taking a lot of hits! I wonder how much the engineering crews like rebuilding it all the time?
02/11/26 12:46 PM
BrickVoid: This current story arc is building up quite nicely! I had noticed the blanked comment text but wasn't sure what it was.
02/10/26 02:55 AM
Swiftbow: Oh yeah... speaking of the arms, there was some kind of release (I can't remember if it was official or not) of replacement arms for the Mars aliens with stronger attachments. And that's what Plozz has.
02/10/26 02:53 AM
Swiftbow: He's from LEGO's Life On Mars line from 2001. (We have, I think, three or four unique alien heads from that line.) They're not just heads, either... they have specialized bodies built on a similar model to the battle droids from the Star Wars sets (but rounder). Their arms also have an annoying tendency to snap at the wrist/shoulder joints and their legs don't individually articulate. But they're still pretty cool :)
02/10/26 12:06 AM
Casanova: What LEGO (or off-brand) head did Plozz’s head come from?

Transcript
Panel 1:
Andre Peters: Gah!
Zack Del Rio: Argh!

Panel 2:
Commander Dale Zurkett: Hawkins, engineering, report! We're shaking like a wash tub up here!
Unknown Transmission: Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Dale: We need more power on that tractor!

Panel 3:
Ensign Jeena Jones: Hawkins and half the team were hit with a plasma overload, sir! We sent them to sickbay.
I'm in command down here at the moment. Ensign Jeena Jones.
The Potemkin is just too big and she's fighting us. We're overloading the engines!

Panel 4:
Andre: That's no overload! The safety regulator must have kicked in when we lost main computers!
Jones! You have to bypass the plasma regulator valve! Use the manual shunt on access panel 12.
Jones (comms): If you say so, sir...
    . . .
Oh, wow, yes! Power output is doubling!
Zack Del Rio: So you can bypass plasma regulators with a little lever in 30 seconds. But shutting off our computers takes ALL this?
Andre: No need to get snippy.
Zack: After this is over, I'M redesigning our computer setup, okay?

Panel 5:
Ensign Plozz: We've got her, sir. Right on the edge of the troposphere.
Dale: Nice job, everybody. Secure from general quarters. Reduce to yellow alert. Let's--

Panel 6:
Lieutenant Commander Natashia Staratt: Commander! Potemkin... she's launching torpedoes!
Dale: What??
Natashia: Five of them! Impact in 30 seconds!

Panel 7:
Dale: Get our shields up! Evasive!
Plozz: No response, sir! All power was routed to the tractor beam!
It will take one minute to charge the shield capacitors!
Helmsman Talia: Emergency warp is still unavailable!
Dale: Kill the tractor and forget shields! Point-defense phasers!
    And brace!!

Panel 8:
SFX: Kra-choom!!
