I don't recall seeing grenades much at all in any of the Star Trek shows. They probably would have helped in a lot of situations!

Swiftbow: Hey, so... Car broke down 125 miles from our house after camping. Thus, no comic this week. Sorry! (and please cross your fingers that we can get it repaired afforably tomorrow!)

Panel 1:

    The queen is locked in her rooms! She's not going anywhere.

Panel 2:
SFX: CRASH!
    bounce!
    bounce!
Guard 1: -- fight?!
Guard 2: Grenade!
    Quickly! Vaporize it!
    Gah! Missed!

Panel 3:
SFX: BWOOMPH!
    PHASERS!
Guard 2: WHat? It's a smoke grenade! Get to cover!
    Get to--
    UNGH!

Panel 4:
Andre Peters: We're clear. I'm detecting more life signs upstairs.
    That's gotta be Natashia, right?
Commander Dale Zurkett: If the intel was right... and if they haven't moved her.
Commodore Jeffrey Bannister: I don't think they'd leave these troops in here to guard nothing.

Panel 5:
Andre: There's at least five of them upstairs. But I can't get a firm reading. We can't shoot through the smoke without accurate sensors!
Jeff: Relax, Andre... we've got this.
Andre: But I'm not a commando, sir! I'm an engineer!
Dale: Don't worry, Andre. That's why we brought you!
