7/5/20:
I hope everybody had a good Independence Day!

Comments from the tagboard:
07/12/20 12:46 PM Oldarmourer: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - CS Lewis

Panel 1:
Location Text: One week later...
Joseph Sisko: ... Excellent. I'll be right back with your drinks.
Dale Zurkett: Thank you!

Panel 2:
Dale: When you said dinner, Admiral, I didn't expect Sisko's! This is a fancy place!
Admiral Benson: Order anything you'd like, Dale. Don't be shy. May I call you Dale?
Dale: You must need a lot of service credits a month to afford this.
Benson: Just a stipend in accordance with our needs, as you well know.

Panel 3:
Dale: Right, well... I was kind of surprised to hear from you, Tom. I can call you Tom, right?
Last time we talked, I think you said: "Take off that Starfleet uniform and get out of my sight."
   At my court martial, remember?
Benson: I remember. I deeply regret my choice of words.
Dale: I'll have to add that to my book. In the epilogue, maybe.

Panel 4
Benson: Yeeesss... said book is why I asked to meete you.
Dale: Really.
Benson: The form you filed with the Census Bureau states that you're writing a "tell-all" book about your experience in the Federation-Tajaran Conflict.

Panel 5
Dale: Yeah... except I'm calling it a war in my book.
The words are just flowing on the page, you know? I should thank your Fed guys for pushing me.
I think you'll especially like the chapter about how you left us all to die on Wogglenather. It's a page turner!
Benson: Mr. Zurkett... I already know your strong feelings on this subject, but peace has always been the goal of Starfleet. We--
Dale: I've seen the buried messages, Admiral.
Hell, this whole time, I thought you were only abandoning US.
But you were about to give all of Wogglenather to those slugs, just to make peace.
But then the Yorktown crash-landed on the Tajarans. And they surrendered first.

Panel 6
Benson: I won't dwell on how you obtained classified correspondence, Mr. Zurkett.
It was a conflict we should NEVER have been involved in.
Two pre-warp species. A completely localized dispute. The Prime Directive is clear. You had no jurisdiction to offer, nor less unilaterally GIVE our help.
Consider this, Zurkett: You blame me for the deaths of your men?
You're the man who brought them there.
Dale: Not a day goes by I don't remember that.
But I also remember that a race of good people are free because of us.
If you're here just to lecture me again, I think I'll pass. I do need to get back to work on that book.
