11/9/25:
I'm quite happy with how the background of Gornar came out! Will be more to see as we continue... and more to build, lol.

Comments from the Tagboard:

BrickVoid: I know it's a bit to ask but can you consider doing an extended episode or a double episode when you get back? In the meantime, get well soon, those flu viruses go away faster with cold and flu medications.
11/17/25 01:42 AM
Swiftbow: Hey, sorry... I picked up a cold this weekend and doing a comic was not in the cards. Should be back next week. (Will probably skip Thanksgiving week, too, though. FYI)
11/12/25 01:50 AM
Swiftbow: It's not that they don't know it was Tajarans, it's that they didn't know Tajarans existed until the attack.
11/11/25 04:40 PM
BrickVoid: In panel 2, General Halrud calls the attack an "unknown enemy". Why doesn't Ezzok mention the fact that rogue Tajarans were behind the attack?
11/10/25 12:29 PM
BrickVoid: Commander Vedrix wasted no time in scurrying off with his prisoner! I wonder what plans he's got for the Supreme Advisor? Romulans like torturing their prisoners!

Transcript
Panel 1:
Narrative Text: Meanwhile, at the Gornar capital...
General Halrud: So, Commander... The board has already assembled to hear your case.
Commander Ezzok: That was fast. We just got here.
Halrud: Your timing was convenient. They were already in session today.
Moreover... much of the legal preliminary work was completed during your long absence.
Ezzok: You don't make that sound like a good thing. There were good reasons for my delays.
Halrud: Yes, well. May we speak privately for a moment?
Colonel Hank Reynolds: Sure. I suppose I'll just... hang around the square?
Halrud: Thank you, Colonel Reynolds. But I would recommend... do not wander far.

Panel 2:
Ezzok: I filed my logs remotely, General. Per regulation, I'm still within a month's grace of required schedules.
Halrud: I'm aware of that, Commander. But you should know... this incident has spread far beyond the military.
Ezzok: It has?
Halrud: Yes. The destruction of one of our ships by an unknown hostile? It has rekindled the old debate. Ezzok: You mean about how best to protect the Hegemony?
Halrud: Very much so. You must be prepared... lest you become a pawn in a scheme to seize power.

Panel 3:
Hank: Um... hello. Can I help you?
Berzok: Oh, it speaks! How unexpected.
Zedaya: Of course it does, Berzok! It's a human.
A human with a very interesting scent.
SFX: *sniff*
Hank: Thank you?
Berzok: I don't know, Zedaya. Are you sure it's not a pet?
Surely humans are at least twice that size. With claws of some kind?

Panel 4:
Ezzok: I appreciate the advice, General. But to be perfectly frank... I welcome that debate.
After the tribunal, I will inform the board of my intention to retire my commission and join Starfleet.
Halrud: Join Starfleet?? But if you are exonerated, you will automatically be approved for a mate. You would set that aside?
Ezzok: Not indefinitely! But if I am to continue with space travel... this is my time. And I believe this mission will benefit our people as much as myself.

Panel 5:
SFX: *tail shake*
Halrud: It is a strange request, Commander Ezzok. But I wish you well. May your scales ever shine.
Ezzok: And yours, General Halrud.

Panel 6:
Ezzok: Colonel, there you--
Oh! Berzok! Zedaya! What are you doing here?
Berzok: Coming to your hearing, of course! Your arrival made the news.
You rather neglected to let us know you were back.
Ezzok: Well, I uh...
Zedaya: Oh, Berzok... you know it's because he's worried about what father will say.
He probably thought he could meet the tribunal and then pop back off to space without talking to any family at all.
Is this your human, then, Ezzok?
Ezzok: Um, yes. Sort of. Colonel Hank Reynolds.
Colonel, uh... this is my brother and sister. Berzok and Zedaya.
Berzok: So. NOT a pet. And also, I assume... not edible?
Hank: Thanks, we've met.
