Special Envoy Lorraine Hulyard: What was THAT? This is no laughing matter!
Commodore Jeffrey Bannister: Plus, it wasn't even very funny.
Hulyard: That is hardly the point! I will not be mocked by an insubordinate crew!
Doctor Rona: But... I don't think anyone laughed. That sounded like it was coming from the ship's loudspeaker?
Panel 2:
Zack Del Rio: Yes, it was. It's some kind of computer virus. We've been hunting it down all day.
Mr. Dwayne Shrunt: A likely story from a felon.
Zack: Look, this isn't about me. This is a serious infection and we're not sure how it spreads.
Ensign Hylia: He's right! It started in the comms system, but it's been multiplying across the ship.
Hulyard: Mm hm. How very convenient for you. Mr. Shrunt... access the computer and identify whatever program Mr. Del Rio planted there to interfere with us.
Panel 3:
Shrunt: Scanning. Hm... I don't see anything off-hand that would account for that laughter.
Hulyard: Keep looking.
Zack: The files are still open, man. Just look at the code block segments I copied to the notes program.
Jeff: Ms. Hulyard... if we could talk. Maybe in my office? I'm sure we can work out these little misunder--
Shrunt: Ma'am! An unscheduled flight log has just been clear! A shuttle is launching from the main docking bay!
Panel 4:
Hulyard: WHAT?!? This is an outrage!
Captain Jenkins! I told you we needed to bring a full security detail!
Rona: No, you didn't.
Captain Bob Jenkins: Correct. You said your authority was sufficient to enforce compliance.
Hulyard; Never mind!
Security officer! Why did you not report this information!??
Intrepid Security Officer: I-- I'm sorry. I was distracted. It's a non-emergency report.
Verified... Shuttlecraft Armstrong's flight plan was approved by Colonel Reynolds.
Panel 5:
Hulyard: You did this, didn't you?!
Who are you trying to smuggle off this ship!?
Jeff: I really have no idea what you're talking about.
Hulyard: Playing it that way, Bannister? I assure you... there will be hell to pay when this is over.
And I'll see to it that you burn.
